SLIP, SLOP, SLAP and WRAP - SunSmart NZ 

To parents and whānau, 

Congratulations to... Anahera and Keeshah for a great mufti day today. We raised $544.00 and collected 8 boxes of cans for Kaikoura and Waiau.

Literacy: Over the next 3 weeks Year 4 will be looking at 3 different types of poetry - Cinquain, Haiku and Diamante. 

Numeracy:  We will be focusing on Geometry until the end of the term. Children will be looking at 3D shapes as well as position and orientation.  You can support your child on IXL by completing Geometry P.1 - P.15. 

Up Coming Events: 

StarSmart Day Friday 2 December

On Friday 2nd December Merrin School is having a StarSmart Day.  StarSmart is a day for Merrin School to create awareness of sun protection and water safety for the Spring and Summer months. We have attached the timetable for the day. 

Children will need: 

Togs

Clothes that can get wet (e.g. rash vest)

Towel

Sunscreen (This will be provided on the day)

School Sun Hat

Dry clothes

Carol Evening  Friday 2 December

This event is held at Merrin School between 5-7 pm. St Christopher's organise a part of this and Merrin students add to the entertainment. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner.

Senior Choir - Singing at Avonhead Mall, 11am Tuesday 6 December

Gala Night, 7pm Monday 12 December

Junior Choir - Singing at St Christophers, 11.30am Wednesday 14 December

School finishes for the year at 12pm Friday 16 December
