Merrin Memories - Taya

My Merrin Memories

My time at Merrin has been pretty long since I joined when I was just 5. I’ve made many friends along the way with some sticking with me and some not. I feel that one of my highlights would be my Year 6 camp since I was with some of my closest friends and I made many wonderful and funny memories. One of them would be making a raft since in the middle of the river, it fell apart leaving me and my crew drowning. Not me though since I managed to doggy-paddle to shore by latching on to one of my friends that can swim well. Another memory would be when we were paddle boarding in camp. Me and Gesha, (one of my besties), were together on a paddle board and she had the audacity to push me off. In order to get her back, I also pushed her off. However, she then proceeded to start crying to make me feel guilty. To be honest I didn’t really know why she was crying but apparently, it was because she thought there were eels. Not too sure why she's scared of eels but we forgive each other in the end (not me though). I’ve made many amazing friends and will forever cherish them along with the memories they have given me.

Altogether, I would say that my eight years would have been pretty enjoyable seeing how I was with my favourite people (Jenny, Risha, Elisapeta, Gesha), and enjoying life with them.

My Heroes

My heroes would most likely be my family since they have pushed me to perform my best in order to achieve my goals in the future. My dad would probably be one of my biggest heroes since he always gives good advice when I need it the most. My other big hero would be my Mum since she organises everything for me and makes sure that I achieve my best in school in order to earn lots of money in the future.

My Jams

I wouldn't say I really have a theme song but I definitely have some favourite songs. My top 2 would probably be Chaconne by Enhypen or Social Path by Stray Kids (ft. LiSA) since I can’t pick between them. They both follow a sort of dark theme which makes it best to listen to at night. Both of them have deep meanings but I think I like them best because of the way they sound. If it's just based on how it sounds though, I’d probably pick Criminal Love by Enhypen or Show by Ado.

My Ultimate Future Self

In 5 years I will be 18 which is when society thinks of a person to be an ‘adult’. I would like to be in university studying and have a job to keep myself stable and pay off any debt that I may acquire. In 10 years I will be 23 which would probably be after I graduate which would be a time I would like to start looking for a stable job that pays well and is a type of job where I can be surrounded by good people. Also, I would like to have one cat to keep me company for when I start to travel and explore the world. In 50 years, when I'm 63 which is when I would like to look into retiring or starting to retire and live in a nice cosy home with ideally 3 cats being grey, white, and black to blend in with how I would like to make my house look.

My Favourite Quote

I don’t know many quotes since I’ve never really read many, but there is one that I think I can relate to just a little. Or maybe it’s just me.

“ I think too deeply about everything. I still don’t know if that allows me to see more of the world or less of it. “

My Wrap-Up...

It's all a bit nerve-wracking since high school is when studying starts to get important and when you have to think about your future. You have to meet new people, make new friends and adapt to a new environment. I would ideally like to be remembered as someone who is diligent, considerate, and fairly easygoing.
