Merrin School Cross Country 2019
It was a fantastic day out at Burnside Park yesterday for the whole school cross country. After a couple of false starts late in Term 1, the weather rewarded our patience with an amazing autumn day.
It was the first time we had tried this format and brought the whole school to the park together and I think that we can safely call it a success. It was wonderful to see the school values on display everywhere you looked - from the seniors supporting the younger children in their running to the children who gritted it out and kept running when the going got tough.
Congratulations to all our tamariki who took part, running isn't everyone's idea of a good time and it was fantastic to see everyone giving it their best.
