What's happening this week in the Pãtaitai Pod? 

To Parents and Caregivers, 

Can you believe that we are approaching Week 4 of the term?  Time certainly flies when you're busy! 

Here's an update of news and notices in our Pod:

Lucky book club orders: These are due in on Tuesday 23rd of February. Please hand them back to your Whanau teacher or Mrs Simpson in the Library.

Head Lice: Just a reminder to check children's hair regularly for Head Lice. 

Home Learning: Keep up the great work on IXL! This week we will be sending home journals for children to read as part of their home learning. Please remember to ask your children to return the journals every day as we will be using them for our guided reading lessons during the week. 

Sport shoes: We have begun a rotation of of Art, Inquiry and Physical Literacy on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  Children will be needing their sports shoes on these days. 

Miss Minty's Whanau group - P.E Tuesday, Miss Hebberd's Whanau group  - P.E Thursday and Ms Gallagher's Whanau group - P.E Friday.

Hats:  Please continue to bring sun hats to school. It's important all children wear hats during break times. 

Library: The library is open at lunch as an option for children. Mrs Simpson is running Maker Space days where children can create and explore different art activities. 

Top Team Helpers: Thank you to those parents who have already offered to help during the Top Team Challenge on the 3rd of March. We are still looking for a few more parents to support us during this fun morning! We are looking for helpers between 10 - 11:30 am on Thursday 3rd of March. If you are able to support in any way, please email or come into see us in the Pataitai Pod.
