Merrin School has an enrolment scheme to manage our roll numbers and avoid overcrowding. For all enrolments an appointment is necessary. Full details are available at our office and to make an appointment to discuss enroling your child please contact the school office.

If you live within zone your child is welcome to enrol at Merrin anytime. 

If you live outside the zone your child will only be able to enrol at Merrin through an out of zone application which is held four times during each year, and if there are spaces available. 

Each year the number of out of zone enrolments are advertised and if enrolment requests for out of zone students exceeds the number of places available, a ballot is held.

Home Zone

All students who live within the home zone described below shall be eligible to enrol at the school.

From the Grahams Road / Avonhead Road intersection,

• North along Avonhead Road to Roydvale Avenue

• North East along Roydvale Avenue to Memorial Avenue

• North West along the south side only of Memorial Avenue to Russley Road

• South along Russley Road to the southern end of Avonhead Park

  • Including 119 Russley Road

• East along the southern edge of Avonhead Park to Greystoke Lane

• East along Greystoke Lane to Kedleston Drive

• South East along Kedleston Drive to Apsley Drive

• South along Apsley Drive to Berkshire Drive

• South East along Berkshire Drive to Wardour Mews

• South East along Wardour Mews to the end of the road, then through to 125 Withells Road

• North along Withells Road to Maidstone Road

  • Including 130 Withells Road

• South East along Maidstone Road to Avonhead Road

• North along Avonhead Road to Grahams Road

Addresses on both sides of boundary roads are considered in-zone unless specified otherwise.
