Math is everywhere, guiding us through everyday moments and activities!

In Pīata and Tīrama, we’ve been learning about different parts of strand maths—such as time, measurement, tens frames and number lines.

So far in Pīata, we’ve explored how we use time in our daily routines, like following a school timetable. Figuring out the different parts of the day and what we do at those times has been a fun, hands-on experience.

Our next step is learning how to read a clock, so we can keep track of when all our exciting activities happen—and know what’s coming up next!

Being able to use these mathematical skills in everyday life is so important, as they are tools we’ll use for the rest of our lives!
