Welcome back to Mahuta Term 2

Geoff Wallis —

We hope you have all had an enjoyable term break.

Kia ora everyone,

Welcome back to term 2. We hope you have had a nice break and are ready to be back at school. We have lots of exciting things planned for you this term and we can't wait to share them with you when you come back.

But to get you started on Monday we have the Kia Toa Resilience Show and on Friday is our Mihi Whakatau to welcome our new families to Merrin.  On Friday we also have a Rugby Fun Day for selected students.

Just a quick reminder:

- Children don't need to bring sun hats this term.

- It is getting colder now and classrooms do not open until 8.30am. Children shouldn't be at school before 8.30am unless they are at CASPA.

- Children shouldn't be using their devices before/after school while they are waiting outside.

- Home learning expectations are that children are doing IXL and reading daily. Te Kotiritiri Challenges are encouraged and we are happy to see their progress at any time in the term.

Have a great weekend! We will see you all on Monday.

Kind regards Geoff, Urmi, and Peri.
