Upcoming Notices and Events

Tania Gallagher —

Here is what is happening next week....

Week Two has been busy and we have been really pleased with how the children are building up their skills in using their devices.  We have set up most children with the school's wifi so they can begin practicing some of their IXL skills. All children had the opportunity to try this out today. If you are unsure of your child's username/password then please let us know.

The expectation for home learning is reading and IXL. Although the Pataitai Pod have not had reading books sent home yet, it would be beneficial for all students to be reading every night still. IXL works really well if supported by and adult and is practiced daily for up to 25 minutes. We would like to children to be practicing skills at year 3 - 4 and specifically on statistics as we are looking at some investigations in this area.  In addition to this Te Kotiritiri Challenges are optional but encouraged by the teachers. These will be sent out over the next few weeks.

A notice about the Year 4 Camp Experience was sent home today. The children were very excited to learn about this event in a few weeks. The notice has been attached for you in case it got lost :-) We would love some help for the Top Team event so let us know.

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the sunshine
