Ryan and Alessandro make connections between our maths unit on measurement and Ako Stations.

Ako Stations engage children in play and Inquiry learning with a holistic approach that is carefully planned to meet their mental, emotional, physical, and social needs. Children are asked to reflect on what they are learning at an activity and for ideas on what they'd like to do at the stations in the future. It is hoped that these conversations deepen their understanding of the process required for successful learning. At times these activities connect with subject focus or an event such as Matariki and also link to Merrin School values. Collaboration with their friends means conversations and it is a delight to hear children engaging with each other at an Ako Station.
