Autumn Leaves
This week the smarties have been inquirying about Autumn...
We have enjoyed exploring Autumn, through the naturally fallen leaves, around the school. It has created some fun, good discussions, Artwork and stories.
Autumn
Leaves fall and winter comes. Kids wearing mittens and gloves. Kids coming to school wearing some warm clothes in class. Kids having some cocoa and hot chocolate. Kids snuggle down into their beds, having their toys. Then, they go out to play in the leaves. They see colours, yellow, orange and brown. The kids play in the leaves.

Leaves
Rip, rip, rip, everyone was throwing leaves at everyone. Mrs Archbold threw leaves at Jason. All the children threw leaves at Jason. Then, I shook my shoes off and all the children put the leaves down other children’s shirts. Someone put a leaf down my shirt. It felt spiky. It was raining leaves.!!! I know why the leaves were falling, because it was Autumn. Leaves were falling fast and it was cold. I didn’t know that the big pile of leaves was there. I thought that we couldn’t play with it and all the class did. The leaves were red and yellow… it was very funny indeed.

Leaves
Leaves, leaves, leaves, the leaves came down. The children love the leaves. The children played in the leaves. Crunch, crunch, crunch, I can see the different colours. I can see red. green, yellow, brown and orange leaves. I hear the children laughing. I like it because it was very funny. I like playing in the leaves.

Leaves
Ha, ha, ha it was funny because Mrs A had lots of broken leaves on her head. We had lots of fun. He, he, he, I threw a lot of leaves on her head. The pile looked like a leaf ice cream. The crunchy leaves are gone now, but it was fun playing in the leaves. Leaves are fun to play with because they are crunchy. There were sharp edges on my big leaf and they broke when I folded it, they were dead dry. There was a bunch of crunchy leaves.

Leaves
Crunch, crunch, crunch went the leaves under my massive feet. When Mrs A threw the colourful leaves up everyone burst into laughter! Then we had a turn. Jason got leaves down his sweatshirt. It was hilarious!!! We had an awesome time. Lots of trees are deciduous and some are evergreen. Deciduous means they lose their leaves in fall. Evergreen means the leaves stay green.
