It was another great day for the Merrin School Cross Country team.  The children's hard work and dedication attending our early morning training sessions showed on the day and we are very proud of their successes.

Congratulations to the following children who will represent Merrin School and the North West Zone at the CPSS (Centrals) event at Halswell Quarry on Wednesday 20th June:

• Year 5 Girls - Neela, and Liesl (reserve)
  
• Year 6 Girls - Samantha S
  
• Year 7 Boys - Blake and Daniel
  
• Year 7 Girls - Sasha (reserve)
  
• Year 8 Boy - Wooju and George (reserve)
  

These children had to finish in the top 12 to earn a place on the team, the top 16 to earn a spot as a reserve. 

I was acting as a marshal on the course and if it looks like the photos were all taken from the same spot - they were!  But it was very satisfying to be able to stand out on the course and watch our runners put their best foot forward.   Well done to all our children who competed.
