Best wishes from the Principal
Thank you for your continued support over the year at Merrin. I hope you all have a lovely summer break and safe and happy time with your families.
This is our last newsletter for the year. It is hard to believe that it will be christmas in 15 sleeps!
Congratulations to Amy, Izzy, George and Jack who have all completed their Te Kotiritiri Challenges. One of the best parts of my job is when the students share their achievements with me. Well done guys!
We were once again dazzled by the bright lights of our Senior Stars at Monday night's Gala Evening. To all of the children from Year 4 through to Year 8 who received awards and/or performed on stage you should be very very proud of your achievements on and off stage this year. The staff at Merrin have had a wonderful year in your company and wish you all the very best for your summer holiday. To those of you not joining us next year, enjoy your next adventure and be sure to make it count!
This Monday (14th) at 2.30pm all students are visiting their 2016 teacher. As parents, if you would like to pop in on Monday at 3pm and meet your child's teacher for next year, you are more than welcome to. We will have a whiteboard outside the office to let you know where to find everyone. Please note, that Mr. Geoff Wallis will be visiting us and Mr. Peri Marks will rush back from his school's prize giving to meet you, as close to 3pm as possible.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish the Board of Trustees, PTA, staff, parents and students of Merrin a very warm and happy Christmas.
School resumes for 2016 on Monday 1 February and I look forward to welcoming you all back to school then.
Best wishes
Lisa
