In the Pataitai Pod we have been setting up learning blogs for the students to show their learning.

We are using Blogger through the students current school Google accounts. The purpose of the blog is for the students to have a place to put their learning. This is a great way for family and friends to see what they are doing at school but also their learning outside the classroom. 

Their settings are set so that their blogs are not on Blogger listings or shown on search engines. We have also discussed the types of information that students should not put on their blog e.g. last names, contact details. If you want to share the blog with family or friends, they need to have the website link.

Students will learn more about the Blogger capabilities in the coming weeks, this is an opportunity for you to learn alongside them.  You can also go to this You Tube video about how to use Blogger.

We encourage you to actively engage with your child through the blog by supporting them in posting fun and engaging things you do at home.
