On Wednesday 21 October 2015 we went to the Science Roadshow at Cobham Intermediate. When we arrived we watch a show about electricity. Mr Grace sat on a magnet chair. Suddenly it collapsed and he fell down swiftly with a bounce.

They showed us how electricity can pass through our bodies. Six students held hands and were able to make a light bulb glow.

After the show we were able to go around all the stations. They gave us a challenge to solve four problems at different stations. We then went into a draw. Seth from Room 6 won the challenge.

Ethan’s favourite station was the bed of nails. Ethan said that it felt like a bed of prickles. Hiroto’s favourite station was the bridge. Hiroto said that you were able to take the sides off and it would still hold you up. Warren’s favourite station was the chair on a pulley. It was fun watching Ethan go up to the top of the frame by pulling on the chain.

At the end of the roadshow we watched a presentation on water. Hiroto liked learning about how you can float in saltwater but in fresh water you sink. Ethan liked learning about the water cycle. He was fascinated about water vapour.
