Celebrating the success of our students who competed at this year's Cantamaths Competition!

Cantamaths is an annual problem solving competition where teams of 4 enter from all over Canterbury and race to be the first team to 100 points. Teams have 30 minutes to answer 20 questions and require teamwork, stamina and perseverance, on top of their mathematical capabilities.  

Our Year 7 and Year 8 teams competed at the Cantamaths competition last Wednesday 23rd. All students put in a tremendous amount of mahi to prepare for the competition, which involved before school and lunch time practices. Both teams performed well on the night, with the Year 7 team getting 65 points and finishing in the top third of all Year 7 teams in Canterbury and the Year 8s placed 12th after acquiring 80 points.

Both teams can be extremely proud of their efforts!
