ESOL Students visit the Zoo School!

Mary Johnston —

On Thursday 12th March the ESOL students visited Orana Park to continue their study about animals.

The weather on Thursday was excellent and the students had a really great observing and classifying the animals at the park. The two Orana Park educators, Denise and Mick, did a great job in introducing the different animals to the children. The students enjoyed meeting the baby rhino, the big cats, the Tasmanian Devils and of course the monkeys and the apes. The students fed the giraffes and the trout and they met the Zoo School pet tortoise. They were very excited to find out about the new gorilla enclosure that is being built at the moment. A big thank you to Denise and Mick who made our day such a worthwhile day out!!
