Last day of Term 4 is Monday 18 December, School will finish at 12pm.

Term Accounts are now overdue. Please pay as soon as possible. A printout of those with outstanding accounts went home with your child yesterday. If you have any queries regarding your child's account please email Erika at erikajefferies@merrin.school.nz

If you are looking to have rabbits as family pets please call 0211099637 as they have 2 female Cashmere Rabbits to giveaway. They are family friendly and ideally would like to stay together. Pick up end of December or early January. 

Lost property will be on display outside the school office on Friday 15 and Monday 18 December.

Kelly Sports holiday programme
December 2017 and January 2018 Kelly Sports Holiday Programmes are now available in full, online with the programme of activities Highlights of the programme include a 10 pin bowling trip, the Inter-Programme Challenge, Water Days and a Nerf Wars Day! For more information or to book online, please visit www.kellysports.co.nz and search for your venue of choice.

Holiday programmes and activities are advertised on the school notice board for the upcoming school summer break.

2018 DATES

Thursday 25 January – school office opens for families

Kanohi ki te Kanohi (Face to Face) meetings will be held with every child and their whānau. These will be held during the days of Tuesday 30th and Wednesday 31st January 2018. Bookings opened on Monday 11 December.  To book online go to: www.schoolinterviews.co.nz then enter the event code.

If you are unable to book an interview time, through our online booking system, we will book a meeting time and email this to you. Alternatively, to make a booking you are welcome to come into our school office.

In July, Mrs Germon’s husband moved to Australia for his new job as general manager of Australian Twenty20 Big Bash franchise, the Sydney Thunder. In the meantime, Mrs Germon has had to stay here in Christchurch, leading the Kāhui team at Merrin School, and looking after her family.

Professors from Tartu University in Estonia visited Merrin School to look at teaching and learning in New Zealand.

Professors from Tartu University in Estonia have visited New Zealand as their research has led them to come and look at best practice here. On recommendations from NZ Universities, the Professors visited Stonefields School in Auckland and Merrin School! They loved our child centred curriculum and commented on how well the values were being embedded across the school.
