Introducing Lynne Mauger

My name is Lynne Mauger. I started teaching in 1999 and have worked at Merrin School for three years now. This year I have loved continuing to work with the great children who come through Reading Recovery to work out those tricky things about reading with me for a wee while, before heading back to their own classroom programmes. I am lucky that I also get to spend an hour each day with the great children in Marama to support them with their writing.

I have two gorgeous girls of my own and my husband at home. With the busy lives we lead I get the best of it all being able to work part time in a fantastic school, part time with our family business and as much time as I can with my family. I love to walk, read and spend time in the garden when I get some free time!

The ITM Cup

On the 24th of October I went to watch the ITM cup final. I got to play the curtain raiser and that means that I got to play a 24 minute rugby game before the match. The final was between Canterbury and Auckland. The was score very close, it was 25-23 to Canterbury. I lost my game 4-0. The game went to about 9 O'clock. It was very tense and at the end of the game I was screaming my lungs out!
