Welcome back to term two everyone. It has been wonderful to see our children this week and hear their holiday stories.
Yesterday we had our Cross Country at Burnside Park. The lovely sunny day was worth waiting for. Congratulations to all of our runners who gave it their very best out on the course.
Yesterday, I also had the pleasure of accompanying Annabelle, Josh, Juliet, and Ebony (pictured above) on the 40hour famine leadership workshop. It was sobering hearing from children who live in South Sudan and the World Vision staff who have visited there. I'm sure these four young leaders will encourage their peers to think and discuss their predicament and hopefully 'act' by completing the challenge.
Next week, our staff will be attending Paid Union Meetings. Our school will remain open however normal programmes will be disrupted over three afternoons. Your child's teacher will let you know of the timings that affect your child by way of the team newsletters.
Lastly, I hope that you will consider standing for election on our Board of Trustees. The process is just about to begin and all that is required is the commitment, positivity, and interest. I'm very happy to discuss the role if you would like more information.
Kind regards
Lisa
