Learning to work as a team player...
In Room 20 we have enjoyed the Ako Whanau team challenges, over the last few weeks. We have used the split screen photos to challenge our mindset around working together and everyone being accountable for their roles.
The Impossible Bridge Challenge: to build a bridge that will hold a toy car and truck. 50% success rate
Egg Drop Challenge: to build a contraption that will protect an egg, when it is dropped from a height. 60% success rate
It has been great to hear the student voice around team members becoming more involved and accountable, building challenges and learning to communicate with our peers, by speaking in turns or asking further questions.
