Have you thought about joining the PTA?
Many of our PTA parents have children in the senior school who will be leaving Merrin over the next year or so. Therefore, we are in need of some fresh blood! Meetings are held twice a term and we are currently re-considering which day of the week we will hold them on so that we can suit everyones schedules.
Here are just some of the many things the Merrin PTA have raised funds for over recent years:
The spider web in the year 2/3 playground
Ipads and chromebooks for the classrooms
Robotics
Prime maths books
Lights in the hall
Sports uniforms
Performance uniforms
Kapa Haka uniforms
Families in need
Book sets for classrooms
Maths resource trollies
Various Classroom resources
We have organised Fairs, Spellathons, Bingo Nights, Quiz nights and regular Sausage sizzles plus many more community events such as the Christmas Picnic and Discos. We would like to be able to continue organising more events over the coming years and your help whether big or small would be much appreciated! We are a friendly bunch who will make you feel welcome.
We are inviting all interested parents/caregivers to come and meet us for a coffee/afternoon tea at Strange Bandit on Roydvale Avenue on Saturday 7th September between 2pm and 4pm.
