Year 5-8 NW Zone Winter Tournament

After Mother Nature put a stop to the tournament last Wednesday, she rewarded us with the perfect day for winter sport on Monday.
The tournament took place at various venues across South Hagley Park on the afternoon of Monday 05 August. Merrin School had eight teams competing across the competition - the Year 5/6 A Netball, Football, Hockey and Rugby teams, the Year 5/6 B Football team; and the Year 7/8 A Netball, Football and Hockey teams. The Basketball and Korfball teams had already competed in their code's indoor tournaments.
🏆 Congratulations to the Year 7/8 Hockey A team who placed 2nd, and the Year 7/8 Netball A team who came 3rd in their respective competitions. This mean they have both qualified to compete at the Canterbury Primary School competition on Thursday 22nd August at Hagley Park.
