CWS welcomes the new position paper, the ACT Alliance Climate Justice Advocacy Framework 2023-26.

This Framework and the work of our partners informs our climate justice advocacy. Our partners are helping people learn new techniques, managing scarce water supplies and preparing for more frequent and more damaging disasters – like last year’s floods in Pakistan.

CWS encourages people to ask political candidates questions about Loss and Damage. For example how does your party plan to assist countries who have contributed little greenhouse gases to the planet yet are suffering its worst effects? Are you willing to increase government aid support to our Pacific neighbours so they can adapt to the climate challenges and rising levels of poverty since the pandemic?
