CWS’s partner Community World Service Asia is responding after last month’s 5.9 magnitude earthquake in Afghanistan.

More than 1,000 people have lost their lives. Homes and livelihoods have been destroyed. CWSA staff carried out a rapid assessment and have released the first of three emergency cash grants of NZ$157 to 200 severely affected families in the worst affected Geyan district.

Donations to the Afghanistan Emergency Appeal will assist people with food, hygiene, shelter, and other urgent needs in the immediate aftermath of the quake. We value your prayers for all people in Afghanistan.
