Peace Sunday is the time in the church calendar where we give special attention to peacemaking. This year it falls on August 6, the anniversary of the use of the first nuclear bomb.
Witness for Peace with
prayers, images, stories and actions for Peace Sunday will be available shortly. The worship resources will look back at
Hiroshima and Nagasaki, explore issues about nuclear testing and waste in the
Pacific and include prayers for peace on the Korean peninsula to mark the 70th anniversary of the
Armistice Agreement.
