Past and present parishioners gathered for a special event of remembrances and dedications on Sunday 12 November at New Brighton Union Parish, Christchurch.

Uniting Congregations leader Rev Andrew Doubleday gave a stirring address to a large congregation and then we moved outside to dedicate a memorial seat to two past stalwarts, Warwick Buxton and Trevor Whall. Memorial plaques were also dedicated to all past members and supporters.

Trevor’s wife Nita and Warwick’s brother Neville unveiled the seat and the parish Interim Moderator Rev Jonathan Barb concluded the ceremony by leading the singing by playing on his guitar “One more step along the road I go”.
