St Mark’s kids learn lesson from workers in the vineyard

Every two months St Mark’s Methodist Church in Somerfield, Christchurch hold an “all age” service. It is a chance for everyone to take part in activities based on a Bible story.

Last month the service was based on the story Jesus told of the workers in the vineyard. In the story the workers were paid the same amount whether they worked all day or only part of the time.

Lay preacher, Linda Cowan, prepared the activities which included making a giant poster, colouring in, learning a new song and making tasty treats with grapes.

Linda said, “The lesson we can learn from the story is that life isn’t always fair Even though life may not seem fair it is important to remember that God walks with us and we can still be kind to other people.”
