Kidz Korna

On Trinity Sunday the children at St John’s Methodist in Hamilton East heard how Jesus met with his disciples on a mountain in Galilee. Afterwards the children made bookmarks with the words, “I will always be with you.” (Matthew 28:20)

Jesus told his disciples that they should go out into the world and carry out the work he had started, continuing to make disciples. He promised that he would always be with them. The power of God – The Father, Son and Holy Spirit - would be with them to help them continue His work.

Kidz Korna Book Review

Title: Always with You

Author: Eric Walters

Illustrator: Carloe Liu

Publisher: Nimbus Publishing

Written for young children, this story of loss will also appeal to adults. It is a picture book, beautifully illustrated in water colours.

It fits in well with the Trinity story when Jesus told his disciples that although they would no longer see him, he would always be with them.

Emily’s grandfather has died but she still has his photo and lots of letters he has written giving her advice as she grows up. This is a good story for adults to share with children.
