"Nāu te rourou, nāku te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi." "With your food basket and my food basket the people will thrive."

This year's Koutu Community day was held on Saturday 27th January at Karenga reserve in Rotorua.

It was more than just an event organised by Lifewise, but was also an opportunity to come together and celebrate the vibrant community that Lifewise Ki Te Arawa serves. The Koutu Community Day was about bringing the community together to connect with whanau, rangatahi and tamariki. Everyone was treated with free kai, entertainment, along with free barber cuts, Harley rides and games. It was used as an opportunity to highlight the work Lifewise does in the community - indigenous well-being, mental health and addictions, Māori Hauora, and homelessness.
