NZMWF News

Last month our President Lesieli Tiulipe Pope, reported on visits she made to Vahefonua parishes during the New Year Prayer Week. When she visited Vaine Mo’onia (Ponsonby) Tongan Methodist Congregation, she had the opportunity to greet and bless the women’s fellowship of the church. She continues visiting other fellowships within NZMWF.

Greetings

Blessed be the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We thank God, the source of our hope, for the many gifts and graces that He provides for the ministry of New Zealand Methodist Women’s Fellowship (NZMWF) that we share so willingly. May God continue to bless us along the way.

Opening of 2024 Women’s Fellowship

The opening of the Auckland/Manukau Women’s Fellowship for 2024 commenced with a service, followed by lunch and a concert where the membership fees from every congregation were collected. Each congregation performed a tau’olunga (traditional dance). It was a happy and wonderful fellowship for all women of the parish who were present.

NZMWF Theme

‘Grow in Christ and be a Life Giver,’ I believe, it is important to always remind us of our theme (Phillippians 4:19, Luke 10:37). It is important for us to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18). We need to grow spiritually and grow closer to God. One sign of spiritual growth is our love for others. We love others more earnestly. This love needs to show in our actions. Within our fellowship we need to encourage one another and build each other up in love (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

Prayer

Loving and Gracious God, we thank you for fellowship and family. We ask that you will strengthen us, restore us and inspire us with your love. We would pour out your love to others, so that we would take your promises to all the earth.

Grace and Peace to you all
