Library Redevelopment

MGS —

The Secondary Library...

...redevelopment is starting to take shape in reality, rather than only on paper.

While an enormous amount of work has already been poured into the Library, much of it has been inconspicuous. Wiring, insulation and firewalls are supremely important, but uninspiring!

With the wall linings going up we’re seeing movement towards the artists’ impression below…

The space will be an engaging haven for bibliophiles and a vehicle to expand horizons. A modern reading and research hub – A senior study annex created by a floor to ceiling glass wall – A sleek library teaching environment has also been created with a generous portal through to an adjacent classroom.

Amongst the cornucopia of jobs left to be completed, we’re awaiting an internal glass wall, timber Zenthe screens, and oodles of stunning joinery everywhere.

Because of the extensive scope of the project, and unpredictable consent requirements work has had to continue through into Term 1. We hope for the space to become a haven of quiet again as soon as practicable.

Our sincere thanks go to the Christian Schools’ Trust team that have been laboring for months to deliver this baby.
