Year 9 Food and Nutrition
The Year 9 Food and Nutrition class have been doing lots of fun stuff.
Popsicle Prototype 1
Y9 students sampling their 1st prototype Popsicle: Strawberry and Banana. They will make mango and pineapple for prototype 2, Week 1 next term before manufacturing their own design to help teenagers eat more fruit and vegetables. Watch this space for the final popsicle outcomes next term.

Blind fold food testing for sensory descriptors
Students were very scared risking sampling a collection of common sweet and savoury items but quickly found it was fun to describe and identify each sample. Items included; bread or cracker; apple or orange, carrot or capsicum; assorted sauces and spreads, seed and nuts, and finally white or milk chocolate. This detailed descriptive work was in preparation for discerning flavours for iceblock designs.
