Ngā Pōtiki ō Miritana, Primary Kapahaka...

...performed at Tūhono on the 15th of September . The scene was set for the performance with Debbie Silivale singing solo “Wairua Tapu” welcoming the Holy Spirit to the event. Our next waiata was a song of praise and worship to God- Whakamoemiti. Our waiata-a-ringa, Tēnei Mātou, celebrated performing and singing about Māori culture. Finally, our school haka proclaimed Jesus as our Saviour and our school verse” In thy light shall we see light”. As the only Christian school at our concert, we proclaimed the good news of Jesus.

 

Overall, the rōpū placed 3rd with 1st equal in waiata-ā- ringa and 2nd place waiata tira. Certificates were also given for best Kaiwaiata, solo singer, and 1st place Manukura, leadership, Debbie Silivale. Whakamihi, introduction, Arden Monk. Taonga Puoro, instrument introduction, Raya Stuart, Zach Harris, Rafael Ellena, Maya Mara, Kaleb Dos Santos, Asher Drake and Matthew Smit.
