During the holidays the music academy had some great achievements...

Studio A (Joel Richardson, Theo Bird and Flynn Adamson) won the Regional Finals of the Smokefree Rockquest and now have a video submission being judged by a national panel for a place in the semi-finals. In addition to the band award, Joel Richardson won the musicianship award for his keyboard skills (particularly in the second video). You can see their videos here:

The Jazz Band have made it to the national finals of the Jazz Band-it jazz competition. They are one of only 3 South Island schools to make the top 12 bands and will be travelling to Wellington in the first weekend of the school holidays to perform live at the finals.
