Thank You

Blood Drive

MGS —

A thank you from New Zealand Blood Service...

I just want to say a big thank you to you, the students and teachers at Middleton Grange School for coming in to donate blood on Thursday 19th September.

What an awesome result, like always Middleton has punched above their weight and had a fantastic Blood Drive. We had reasonable high deferrals who are the students that cannot donate blood for health reasons but this is expected this time of the year and their seems to be a bit of a gastro bug doing the rounds too – I hope Middleton does not get hit with that. Utilising the runners is fantastic and really helps for the overall smooth running of the Blood Drive and back filling those gaps of students that are sick on the day.

We had a target of 55 donors donating blood and we collected 54….so close but AMAZING! we had 69 students who attended and of that 33 were brand new donors which is an amazing 48% so we are also seeing donors returning. With the 54 donations we collected we have the potential to SAVE up to 162 LIVES!!!

I am just so excited about the success of your Blood Drive. Well Done Middleton Grange!!!

We really appreciate your ongoing support.

Ngā mihi,

Jules
