At the start of the term The Jazz Band went on a week long trip to Blenheim for the Southern Jam Youth Festival. They performed at two local schools, and also The Clubs of Marlborough and The ASB Theatre. Their competition performance landed them a silver award and Mackenzie Hoskins represented Middleton Grange School in the All Stars big band led by Rodger Fox.
