International Leadership Team (or ILT for short)

MGS —

The Brief - The ILT will encourage and inspire international students to fully participate within the Middleton school community. The team needs to be passionate about serving their fellow international students so that they can develop to their potential. By doing so, the school community will be enriched and develop a better understanding of all the cultures at school, the special requirements of international students, and how international students can contribute to the school.

This is the second year of having an ILT for Middleton Grange School. These are leadership positions within the whole school, much like school council or prefects.

For 2021 the following students have been appointed to the ILT:

Akari Masoaka (Leader)

Mike Ma (Leader)

Qunnie Chen

Jojo Zhao

Sophie Ma

Maggie Yau

Tom Wang

Sian Wilkinson

Daine Kim

Caitlyn Piao

Tuan Luong

The team will undertake a wide range of duties throughout the year for example: Assist in planning regular activities and events that support the International College in caring for all international students; Seek opportunities to profile and celebrate international students across the whole school e.g. take part in assemblies; develop groups for international students etc.; Attend Core Leadership meetings called by the Leaders of the ILT, Head Girl and Boy, or other school teams; Organise and monitor duties for the International College e.g. kitchen duty roster; Seek pupils’ ideas, discern those to be beneficial in achieving the vision and follow through on them; Work with other Leadership teams where appropriate to advance mutual goals; Attend leadership training throughout the year.

Already for 2021 they have been very active and have been involved in every aspect of the International College's function.
