Hannelie Viljoen

My name is Hannelie and I am originally from South Africa. Me, my husband and two children (son and daughter) came to New Zealand 12 years ago and have been in love with this beautiful country ever since. Now, proud Kiwi citizens, our family has expanded with the addition of four grandchildren and my mom also living with us, and I have a sister in Auckland. My role as Finance Assistant at Middleton Grange is quite different to previous administrative roles that I have held throughout my career, with the added blessing of working in Christian surroundings with like-minded people after a heart for God.

I love reading and listening to worship songs, and over weekends you will most likely find me spending time with my grand kids or out on a motorcycle with my hubby, whom I have been married to for 30 years, enjoying the stunning beauty of God’s creation as we ride. My husband has been a keen rider for many years, and I recently the past couple of years decided it was time to try something new and challenging, while out riding with other Christian motorcyclists – the rest is history after I bought my own two wheels!

It is with excitement that I step into this new journey where God is at the centre of the workplace, and I look forward to be part of a team where Christ is the cornerstone of everything at this school. With a humble heart and a passion to serve the Lord, I could only pray that my everyday interactions with the students, staff and Middleton Grange community bring glory to His Name.
