World Vision Art Auction

MGS —

Last term, Middleton Grange ran an art exhibition and auction...

...to help raise funds for this year's 40 Hour Famine. With donations of art from famous artists, celebrities and local talent, the total raised was a little over $12,000.

Stunning art was also created and displayed by the primary school classes, with many thanks going to Mrs Bosma and Mrs Thompson for organising this.

Izaac Wilson, a Year 13 student and World Vision leader, organised the event with the support of students, staff and the community. The funds raised go to helping the children of South Sudan who have had to flee to Uganda. Many of those children are alone, destitute and hopeless. Middleton Grange has been able to raise funds this year to support World Vision's work with them, and to give them hope for their futures. Izaac wants to thank everyone who donated art and came along to both the primary exhibition and the art auction. He said, " It's phenomenal being able to have the support of my school community and know that we can do something really meaningful for these kids. I'm so thankful for what we raised, because I know that it will make a big difference. I want to give honour and thanks to God for bringing it all together and pray that he really blesses it overseas."
