45 pupils from Middle School and Senior College competed in the Annual ICAS Science competition, a test completed by pupils in over 20 countries. 

There were some excellent results with 11 pupils obtaining Distinction Awards, meaning they had placed in the top 10% of participants. These pupils were

• Year 7:  Bethany Connor, Sun Woo Yi 
  
• Year 8: Jeremiah Lau, Ethan Bennetts, Harrison Redmayne 
  
• Year 9: Sam Given, Diane Kim, Debbie Malcolm, Jun Woo Yi 
  
• Year 10: Yu Heng Loh, Reinhard Woltersdorf  
  
• Year 12: Matthew Close 
  

We also had one pupil; Annabelle Brownsword (Year 7) who obtained a High Distinction, awarded to the top 1% of participants. Gaining these awards is a particularly impressive result! 

On top of these we had 13 pupils who received Credit Awards, given to the top 25% of participants. 

Certificates for Middle School pupils who gained Distinction and High Distinction awards were handed out in an assembly last term. Other certificates were given to pupils in their Science classes. Well done to all pupils who competed in this annual Science competition.
