Year 10 students from 10LE have been busy studying a number of subjects in Science this term. They have been burning banana chips to measure joule of energy released, been looking at the structures and functions of our digestive systems, have dissected rats to see mammalian digestive systems, eaten weetbix to see the affect of saliva on carbohydrate digestion and doing handstands - showing the action of oesephagus/food pipe muscles forcing food against gravity into the stomach. WOW!
