Tongxi, Ofa, Winnie, Melelupe, Annabel, Tave, Elisha, Lucia, Lauren

In July Tongxi Fu competed in the 2021 Select Recruitment Otago Table Tennis Open. Tongxi was awarded 1st Place for Under 13 Girls Doubles and 1st Place for Under 13 Girls Singles. Congratulations Tongxi.

Ofa Pulu, Winnie Palamo and Melelupe Filiai received commendations for their leadership roles in Polyfest and sport at a recent Spacpac event at St Andrew's College.

Recently Annabel Addison and Tave Stuart (Year 9) entered as individuals and as a duo in the Canterbury DanceNZmade competition. Tave placed 2nd and as a duo they placed 2nd runner up in the Yr 9-10 section. Elisha Thorman (Year 11) also entered in the Year 11 competition and placed 2nd. She is a talented dancer hoping to pursue this as a career. Lucia Xu also entered Yr 12 but did not place.

An interesting competition with all genres competing together for the same prize, tricky to judge Hip Hop versus Ballet etc. 

Congratulations also to ex-student Lauren Hippolite who has been selected for the Tall Ferns NZ to play in the FIBA Women's Asia Cup in from the 27th September to the 3rd October in Jordan.
