Recently, the Junior teachers decided to restore the primary vegetable garden which is located behind rooms 1-3. This area had been neglected for some time and we wanted to be able to use it again with the primary school students. With the fantastic support of the ‘MGS Parents Group and enthusiastic volunteers’ we have been able to transform the area! Also, thanks to Gardenmakers and Bunnings Tower Junction for their support of a voucher and some soil! Thank you!

The students have already planted a few winter vegetables and we are looking forward to using this area all year round.

We have a few more things to do before it is all finished but we wanted to share with the wider school community what has been achieved so far. 😊

• Sharing gardening expertise with the students
• Donating seedlings for us to grow
• Setting up a watering system
• Designing a bug hotel
• Making a mud kitchen
• Artwork for the brick walls
• Etc etc 😊
