Thursday the 17th of February saw the Year 7 cohort head off to Spencer Park for our annual Activity Day. Our morning was filled with a range of team building games and challenges. Peer support leaders and teachers challenged students to work together in activities such as Space Debris, Electric Fence, and Team Action Charades. The afternoon involved a sand sculpture competition where students were tasked with creating the best sculpture inspired by the theme of ‘Ocean’. We returned to school with many fond memories and a greater sense of Tūrangawaewae (belonging). Thank you to everyone who made this event possible, it was a great start to our year together.
