8RO & 8SK Willowbank Trip
After the disappointment...
...of having our trip postponed due to the poor weather forecast, 8RO and 8SK were excited to be able to finally visit Willowbank on Monday, 24 March. Even Mr Stocks managed to enjoy the day with his cast on!
We were divided into two groups for the morning and got to see and hear a talk about the Keas and learn about their adaptations. The Kiwi house was great as there were a number of them running around and if you were very quiet, and stood still you could observe them. Feeding the eels was only for the brave, as they were so hungry and some slid up onto the wooden platform to collect the food from a spoon! The otters, monkeys and deer were real drawcards and never fail to delight the crowds.
There is always so much to see at Willowbank and the time went really quickly. Willowbank is well worth a visit and we give thanks to our creator, God for his marvellous creation!
