Tavé, Annabel, Madalyn, Benjamin, Kezia, Luke, Reinhard, Daniel, Levi, Mark, Shavaughn,

Annabel Addison and Tavé Stuart competed in the South Island Ballet Awards at the Isaac Theatre Royal in Christchurch 5th to 7th of March. This major event is the highlight of the South Island dancing competitions and both girls had the honour of dancing and competing in the semi-finals. Annabel was awarded a very special Dancer's Choice award for showing respect, friendliness, helpfulness, compassion and encouragement throughout the competition - voted for by the other dancers.

Congratulations to our NZ Scholarship recipients for 2020: Madalyn Cleave - Biology, Benjamin Cummins - Physics, Statistics and Calculus, Kezia Milne - English, Luke Stedman - Biology, Reinhard Woltersdorf - Physics. These students were Year 13 students in 2020, we are very proud of their achievement.

Daniel Fraser (Year 11) competed for the first time at the National Championships of Speedcubing in Nelson, late last year. Daniel now holds the National Record in NZ for the fastest solve on "Clock" which is a type of Rubiks puzzle. It can take up to 5-10 minutes to solve it and Daniel officially broke the record with 6.154 seconds. He then broke his own record (unofficially) a few weeks later with 3.87 seconds! (See the times displayed in each picture). He is competing again April to try and break his own record and many others.

Levi Ferguson who set a new school record in the high jump on Athletics Day, he jumped 1.88m. Mark Agnew ran the Senior Boys 200m quicker than anyone before in a time of 23.29 to also set a new school record.

Shavaughn Baker left before finishing Year 12 last year. She is now an apprentice heavy diesel mechanic for Transport Repairs Blenheim. She won the apprentice position over 2 male applicants. Transport Repairs is a South Island based heavy vehicle repairer organisation. Head Office Invercargill.
