Year 10 Food and Nutrition

Over the past few weeks in year 10 Food and Nutrition class, we have been experimenting with different types of pastries and tart fillings to create our desired tart flavour. We spent the first week creating pastries with different recipes to see which ones were best for our savoury or sweet tart. The next week we spent researching and thinking about which type of tart we would like to make. We found our recipes and the following week began experimenting. Some chose vanilla custard, salted caramel plus more, and others chose a more savoury approach with egg and ham. After our first trial we looked at some things we could do to improve our tarts, adding more or less of something, maybe changing the size of our tarts. We experimented a bit with them and our final results were satisfactory :)
