Year 7/8 STEM

MGS —

The Year 7 and 8 STEM classes have been learning about structural integrity and the significance that shapes have in developing strength in objects. Below are some examples taken from our strongest shape challenge that involved making a structure out of pasta and marshmallows. Pupils had to see how much weight their structure could hold before falling over. The best structure could hold over 700g for at least 5 seconds. The next step is to develop our understanding of structural integrity through completing an Epro8 Challenge using our 3D printed kit sets.
