Writing from Pukeko Room (Year 4)

MGS —

We learnt about Māui Dolphins and what we can do to help.

Ruth Zhao: What I learnt is that Māui dolphins only live around the North Island and there are around 50 of them left. How we can help them is to not fish with big nets or else Māui dolphins can get caught in them.

Daniel Mun: There are only 50 Māui dolphins left; they are sea life creatures. We need to stop littering their habitat. They are endangered because they are getting fished along with other sea life.

Micah Grieg: They are endangered because people are fishing them up with big nets. They get caught and they drown in them.

Joshua Dos Santos: Well there are only 55 left, and they are endangered because of the fishing nets that the dolphins get caught in.

We wrote our very own Psalms to God. Here are a few.

Eden Wilson: Oh God you are my refuge, My only, only refuge. I cannot explain how much I want to be like you. Ever since you encountered my life, I will never forget the promise that you will never leave me nor forsake me, for you are great. Oh Holy God, Oh Holy God. Surely you deserve all praise, all praise. Every single thing that has breath worship and praise the Lord Almighty who deserves all the glory, all the praise. I will never understand why you still love me, for I have sinned many, many times. But then you called my name and I ran out of that grave, out of the darkness into your glorious day.

Melenaite Havea: The Lord is my saviour. When I am angry He calms me with his word. He loves me and you. He is a loving God, an Almighty God that loves me and you. I sometimes have problems with people. I get stressed because I do not know what to do. I know that you are always with me every day of my life. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Worship His name. Yeah!
