In the first part of the year, Year 7 and 8 Structural Technology students have been building a bridge (Year 7s) or tower bridge (Year 8s). They first drew a detailed design based on their understanding on how to make bridges strong and the materials they were given. After the teacher’s intense scrutiny of their design, most of them successfully built a bridge/tower bridge that can hold weights between 5 to 8kgs. It made the teacher feel proud of these students seeing them engaging actively in the learning tasks and enjoying success when their bridges passed the weights test.
